April 3 Monday Holiday

Rode to Judy's, Ralph, Julia and Danielle there in the livingroom. Read elephant jokes. Sandi and Lesley came, went downstairs and played pool. Sandi and Lesley left. We left at 5:30. nite- got picked up by Lesley, Don, Ralph, Sandi and Julia in the car. Went to Gillian's (47), read Punch, Alan there. I drew from albums and the people there. Got a drive home.

April 4 Tuesday Holiday

Walked to Lesley's. Alan, Gillian and Julia there. Sat in the livingroom, did a drawing from a T-Rex album [inner sleeve of 'Electric Warrior']. Talked, nothing much happened [except I felt uncomfortable with them].

April 5 Wednesday Holiday

Went to Fairview, met Dave and got the album 'T-Rex Electric Warrior'. Met Ralph then Lesley, looked at posters, took pictures. On the bus talked to Grace Roberts and her friend. nite- Don and Lesley came here, they had a big fight. Lesley threw a hammer, cried, the whole bit. They made up, I burnt a candle and melted a dart.

April 6 Thursday Holiday

Walked to Lesley's, Judy there. Drew a picture like the front of the T-Rex album and hung it up. We went to the D.Q. and Ralph came. We all went back to Lesley's. I attacked Ralph with an icecube, played a card game called 'Killer' where a person who gets a certain card is the killer and winks at others without being seen and "kills" that person. Walked home. nite- walked to Judy's, she and I had a pool game. Don and Lesley came, went to the backroom and played 'Killer'. Went to the livingroom, Don had a 100 dollar bill. Watched a movie about teenagers, walked home.

April 7 Friday Holiday

Went to Fairview, met Lesley and Sandi. Got new jeans and an Ian Anderson poster. Played 'Killer' near Simpson's. Diane came up. On the bus coming back it backfired twice and scared us. nite- rode to Judy's, got a ride (Lesley, Don, Diane, Judy, Sandi and I) to the Dorval Community Center. Met Ralph, Dave, Danielle and [Ralph's friend since at least Grade 6, and who was in my Math and gym classes but I didn't know] Andy [McLelland. I never dreamed he and I, along with Ralph, would be doing radio 11 years later]. Hit Ralph in the nose by mistake, played 'Killer'. Judy went running out screaming because she was wrong about where to get British money changed.

[I didn't do anything on the Saturday or Sunday. It was now my turn to be excluded by Lesley and Don, as Gillian and Alan were now the favourites. It seems Lesley didn't like my friendship with Dave and Ralph etc, finding them too immature at the time, which may have been true, but things with the old group had become gloomy. Though it hurt at the time, things would turn out for the best...]

April 10 Monday

Math- talked, stomped on a old hard cake. Gym- I really forgot my gym locker combination, took gym anyway. Lunch- Janet, Lesley and I went out the door near Woodworking and had a smoke, then sat under the stairs near Woodw., hit an apple around. Art- out in the hall painting the eyes, nose and hair on the 6ft picture of myself. Chris T came with others (Metivier, Melvin, Urquhart) [Don, a friend of David Renwick in my Grade 7 class. He went on to join the Pointe Claire fire department and saved a man's life later on] and talked. Science- at the back Chris T and I were doing face distorting and hand tricks (eg- what's this-spider balling) [shades of Ren and Stimpy..]

47. Gillian's house was beautiful. It was on Golf Avenue, so called because it ran along one side of the Beaconsfield Golf Course. The house itself was covered in wooden shingles, painted grey. The livingroom was L-shaped, wood panelled, with hard wood floors. At one end was a fire place. The front window was a 3 sided bay one. Along one side were to entrances to an enclosed sun porch. At the bottom of the stairs was the portrait of a great aunt (?) of Gillian's, painted by Otto Dix (the ugliest woman I have ever seen). Upstairs was a large study/TV room, and on the door hung a sign with different types of LSD made to look like flavours of ice cream. They also had a copy of 'The Whole Earth Catalog'.
