(Andy's) October 5 Friday
Cut up my hash-13 grams for 45-selling 9, I smoked a gram last night. I went up to Fairview with Ralph and we met Donna + Dave. Donna paid our way downtown so we could go with her to get her temporary driver's licence and her health card. Night-went to Fairview with Ralph, then to a terrible drop-in (25ยข) at Westminster park. Left at 10 with Alan R., Ralph and Donna (who was juiced) home at 11:30 Shit! what a lousy nite.
(Andy's) October 6, Saturday (100)
After cutting the grass, up to Fairview, then to Larry's apt that night I dropped about 7/8 purple pyramid, then I + Ralph went to Alan's. Sue and Heather and Dave there. Alan + Ralph tripping too. Brian Sage, Pete Smith, Gary + Scott showed up but left after awhile. Dave and Mike Sawyers left for Larry's. Sue and Heather started to become real pains - Hints-giggles and screams. Foster, Ernie and Fred came and we smoked with them in their soapstone with the five foot tube. Feeling my brain going, I went outside with Ralph. I started to lose track of things more and more. Rob F. picked us up in his blue Volvo + took us to the park. We parked for a while. Soon we started back to Alan's. Alan's?-oh yeah. Winston Circle but where were we? All I could see were strange houses large trees and endlessly curved streets flashing in front of my confused head. Eventually we arrived. I couldn't make any sense at all out of the television. I kept getting the idea I was at the same house east of St John's on a winter night some time ago [December 23, 1972?]. Eventually my scattered brain recovered, but not until about 12:30 (I dropped at 7:00) when we left. Very similar to a nightmare.
(Andy's) October 7, Sunday
Very spaced out all day. Stoned at John T's this afternoon and Larry's tonight.
(Andy's) October 8, Monday
Ralph and I went to Larry's in the afternoon. Music + lights on, balcony doors open but no answer to the door. I climbed up to the balcony + let Ralph in. Larry came about 1/2 hour later. Didn't mind at all.
Letter written October 9, 1973 from Donna to Gillian
Don't know when your letter arrived but I saw it sitting on my dresser this morning so figured I would write back right away. Went downtown today to get a new pair of shoes. They are really nice: though the heel is about three inches high and they have a platform too. I got another new pair of pants too and picked up this writing paper. Some of it is sort of cute and funny too. I went to the A+W at Peel and got a free lunch too. Like I went up to pay my bill and the cashier told me not to bother cause the bill was canceled and I ate enough too cause my bill came to two seventy. On Friday I got drunk again. Allan, Andy, Ralph and I went to some drop-in at Westminster Park and then to McDonald's. After that we parked by Sommervale Gardens cause Andy said we could go to his place at eleven only he changed his mind so I walked up to the Manior and called a cab. During the day on Friday Dave, Andy, Ralph and I went downtown while I got my learner's permit and a health card then came back cause there was nothing happening down there either. My old man is watching this really boring show on the T.V. when I would rather watch something else and my mom is all pissed off and told me tonight if I couldn't keep my room clean then to get out. All my money goes in the bank from now on cause I can barely wait to get out of this place. I don't think Dave is going to be sending you down a hit of acid cause like he doesn't have a cent to his name and if he did actually buy it before he mailed your letter the temptation would be too great and would likely do it himself. Hope to see you when you come home for a couple of dates so I can try to get them off of work. If I ever buy some mesk I'll send a cap down for you but won't be buying any for awhile cause the last stuff I got wasn't that good and Ralph did a cap too and didn't get off. I don't think my brother did either. Well Andy and Sue aren't going out anymore. I'm sort of glad cause she wasn't good enough for him. Andy is the most considerate guy I have ever known among other things, I think you know what I mean. Sue broke off with him but I wouldn't have minded if it had been the other way around. I bought myself a lighter with my trip money it is really nice. It's a gold butane but it's a real pain sometimes cause it always seems to run out so I keep a can of butane in my purse. Will have to start thinking about Christmas presents have already given Bobby his birthday present $10.00 cause he didn't have any money to go down and get his driver's licence and it cost $8.00 plus what he would have to pay his fare there and back. How about if I send you down a pack of smokes or aren't you allowed to smoke at all. I'll send you down a pack or two with your parents return address so they won't wonder what it is. Okay well have to go now three more letters to write.
Love Donna
