June 7 Wednesday

At 4 (Four) AM Dave, Gillian and Chris were outside my house, Dave threw stones at my window to wake me up. I came out and we walked to the golf course. We sat on a green waiting for the sun to come up, freezing and getting eaten by bugs. At about 5:10 we went in an empty house's garage and sat, then about 5:30 went in Gillian's mother's (59) studio (for art). Talked. At 6:45 Abby joined us, at about 7:30 went to the porch. Chris and I went outside and played with the frisbee, while Dave climbed a tree. Abby went to school at 8. Went back to the porch and sent Chris to the store for bread. When he got back we went to the kitchen and Gillian made [questionable] French toast. Went to the livingroom after. At 9:30 Dave, Chris and I left and went to my place, showed Chris the [Ottawa] movie. At 10:40 we walked to Ralph's, got him and we walked to Fairview. Took pictures, sat outside the Drop-In and played cards (Cheat). Dave got into the Drop-In to sleep, Chris went home and I got the 2:15 bus, Ralph walked home. Chris phoned about 7:30, he asked what was happening tonite, I said nothing.

June 7 - according to the Forum book, Led Zeppelin played there this night, of which I have no memory...

June 8 Thursday

At about 12;45 Ralph and Andy came over, sat in the basement. Threw a plastic football and bowling pins at each other. At about 1:30 Chris came, had a 2 hr game of 'Feds and Heads', Chris won. Then we threw around a stuffed tiger and counted from 1 to 10, the person who had it at 10 was blown up, we called it 'Bomb' [brilliant]. Chris left at 5:10, Ralph and Andy at 5:20. nite- walked at Ralph's, got there at 7:25. Played 'Bomb', Danielle there too. Diane came, Chris phoned and said he couldn't come because his mother was sure he had smoked up this afternoon [we hadn't]. Andy came, played 'Bomb', talked. At 9 Danielle went to bed. At 10 Diane left, didn't do much. I walked home at 11.

June 9 Friday

At 2 walked to Ralph's, Andy there. Played 'Bomb', had a pillow fight. Not too exciting. Walked home in the rain. Phoned Chris at 6:45, he said he couldn't come out and he had to go up north this weekend. nite- got picked up on St John's by Ralph, Andy in the car. Went to the Dorval Community Center, met Don. Went in the little room, threw a pillow around, smoked up abit, got slightly stoned. Got a drive home with Ralph. [the new/old basement furniture arrived this night. It was two second hand couches that cost $5 each. My favourite was the old fashion style one, with gentle curves and dark purple velvet-like material].

June 10 Saturday

At about 12:15 Ralph and Dave came over, watched the Ottawa movie. Went downstairs to the basement. Don and Claude came, at about 2:45 Gillian came, at 3 Abby. Smoked up, got stoned. Gillian left at 3:30, Dave and I laughed at each other. Don and Claude were on the phone to Gillian all afternoon, they left at 5:30. At 7 Diane came over, she stuffed a pillow under her shirt to make it look like she was pregnant (we were in the basement). Abby came, then Danielle, then Dave, Debbie Hughes (60) and Ralph. Played 'Bomb', later Don, Claude and two girls came. Everyone left between 10-11.

59. Lucy Simons was a fairly successful silkscreen artist, with work tending towards the abstract. The local newspaper 'The News and Chronicle' misprinted her name in an article once saying "Jucy Simons will never go stale".

60. Near the end of high school, she and the future art teacher Mr. McGliton (see October 30, 1972) became a couple (Ralph remembers that they tryed to keep it as subtle as possible until after she graduated).
