(Andy's) March 15, Friday
Bennie has a friend coming down from London, Ont., her old home, and she went with him, Brian, Julie etc to the Exorcist.
Me, Brad and Bob went down to John Abbott to the Shelter. I had some oil, Bob + a friend scored some down there. We moved some tables together and sat for about an hour, just smoking.
Bob and Brad put down a quarter on the pool table, and finally their game came up. The felt was covered in rips. The guy playing them was really crazy-never said anything, just gave a cold stare, brought his own cue in a leather case, obviously thought a great deal of himself.
Brad and Bob aren't bad, but they are pretty stack...they beat this guy the first game and almost won the second-both of them tripping + stoned on about a gram of oil.
We went and checked out the beer bash at Centennial Center, but it was 2 bucks and there was no beer left. We went back to Shelter and just got into the music.
Took the bus home.
(Andy's) March 16, Saturday
Met Mike [who I assume was Bennie's friend from London] up at Fairview this afternoon-seems like a nice guy.
Went over to Bob's after supper + smoked a splif....then me, Bob, Brad and John went up to the Drop-in. Quite a few people were there. Spent most of the night gathering dope. Bennie was sick. I ended up doing some mescaline, I snorted the last half hit with Louise before I walked her home.
At about twelve me, Bennie, Mike + René went to A+W. I was pretty stoned-lots of rushes + stuff. Anyway, got Bennie + Mike home at one, René + me made it at about 2:30. Not a bad nite.
March 21 Thursday
Mr. McGilton, our art teacher, organized a 'Greaser Day'. with clothes from the 50's.
A letter written by Donna (now in Willowdale, Ontario) to Gillian made the rounds, mainly because of the descriptions of her sexual encounters.(113)
113. From an email from Dave Essiambre November 26, 1996: "...I've read pretty well the last 2/3rds of the journal. Finally got around to it! I'd forgotten what a dizzy cunt that Donna Kerr was! Oh well, I guess if there is a God around, he has to sprinkle a few of those around to keep us all on our toes. Actually, I should say that she wasn't a cu--, but she could play it real well from time to time. No doubt we all loved her so much because she was the only person who had a job, which meant two things:
1) She always had money, which of course was a luxury few of us could only dream about.
2) It kept her out my hair for satisfactorily lengthy periods.
Other episodes (none of which I can remember off the top of my head at the moment), some painful, some embarrassing, some funny, etc. were all the nonetheless great to read about. I did have a great adolescence, and frankly there is little I have to regret, other than perhaps the odd caustic comment. Kids can be cruel. But all in all it was great reading...."
