July 6 Thursday

Drew portraits of Chris, Lesley, Ralph and I. At 7:25 met Chris on St John's, we walked to Fairview. Met Judy, walked around and looked for Lesley. Had a drink at Harvest House, took pictures in Woolworth's. Met Lesley, took her picture. Judy and I got the bus to my place, she used the phone and left. At 10:15 Lesley came over with a red haired girl, they left at 10:45.

 

July 7 Friday

In the afternoon did portraits of Judy and Dave. nite- at 6:30 Chris came over, did a drawing of him with long hair. Andy came, Judy and Lesley too. Andy left at 8:30, we ordered 1/4 chicken and 4 orders of French fries. Sat on the porch and waited for them. Ate them downstairs. Everyone left at 11 except for Chris who is staying the weekend, we watched the late movie comedy about an Arab football team.

 

July 8 Saturday

Chris and I did nothing except rest in the basement. About 4:15 Lesley and a guy Manny. He's Jewish and told jokes. Judy came with a Mickey Mouse hat. Dave and Diane came, went to the park. After Lesley and Chris went to the store. Everyone left at 11. Chris and I watched a movie in the livingroom.

 

July 9 Sunday

After the movie we watched ended at 2 am, we played chess then went to the basement. We played 'Spit' and '21' [Chris lost. Other games followed], went to sleep at 7, woke up at 12:30. Chris left at 9:30 pm.

 

July 10 Monday

At 1:15 Gillian came over with 3 girls, talked, they left at 2. Gillian and I phoned people. Chris came for 15 minutes to say good-bye (he's going to [cadet] camp [in Valcartier, Quebec] till about Aug 22). He left, Lesley came, talked. Took a look at the eclipse starting. They left at 3:45. nite- walked to Gillian's, got there at 8. Lesley and Abby there. Talked, talked about best friends. Left at 10, got a drive with Lesley.

 

July 11 Tuesday

At 11:30 Gillian came over (parents gone till Sunday). Watched 'Hercules' on TV, Abby came, didn't do much. Andy came, played 'Feds and Heads'. Tried to get grass by phoning people but couldn't. Watched 'Hogan's Heros' at 4:30, they left at 5. Gillian came back at 7, then Abby. Abby left to eat, Gillian and I looked out the window and watched for Andy to come to see if he got some grass at the Pits, he came at 8:30 and didn't have any. So we went into the kitchen and Gillian took alittle from bottles of liquor and put it in a glass with orange juice ['jungle juice']. We drank it, Abby returned, we felt abit weird. Gillian and Andy danced. Abby and Gillian left at 9:40, Andy stayed and watched 'The Persuaders' then left at 11.

 

July 12 Wednesday

At 12:15 Abby came over, I was cleaning up. Gillian came, didn't do much. Sue arrived, then left, so Gillian and I looked at pictures, talked and watched TV. She left at 5. nite- I went to Gillian's at 7:30, watched the movie 'Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte' in the study with her and her father.

 

July 13 Thursday

Gillian came over about 12:30, then Abby, talked. Sue came, then Dave and Diane. Played chess with Diane, sat upstairs and down. About 5 Diane went to the shops and got the slides from the farm trip. Sue left, ordered pizza. Abby left, Diane left at 7:30. Andy came. Gillian, Andy and I watched 'Night Gallery'. Sue and Abby came back for 10 minutes at 9:20. Everyone left at 9:30 except Dave who left at 10.
