December 1971

December 1 Wednesday

Lunch- went outside with Christine for a smoke, then to the caf with her and Porter. Just before English some people were having a snowball fight in the hall. nite- about 5:30 Don came over, sat in my room (he's curled his hair, looks like a girl's) cleaning out his pipe. On the phone [in my parents room] getting perfume on each other. Walked to Lesley's, she was frizzing Don's hair with a curling iron. Walked to the Mapes, while Don was getting stuff Lesley and I got big icicles and pretended they were guns. Walked home.

December 2 Thursday

Tried to get Lesley outside to give her the bumps (it's her birthday), she fell down twice. Gym(spare)- went to the shops, Don gave me some hash. We walked back the long way (around the Civic Centre) and I smoked up on the way (got sort-of stoned). Lunch- went with Liz to the Civic Centre for a smoke, then I went to the caf and Heidi put snow down my shirt, so I put it down her back. Science- Chris Todd sitting right across from me. nite- met Don at the shops, Lesley there buying socks. We walked to Judy's, played pool then went upstairs and watched 'Winnie the Pooh'. We (Don, Lesley and I) went to the Mapes. Alex Mitchell was there with two other guys. Lesley got mad and went home. Don found a cap of mesc (or something). Went in the Caboose. Don bought 1/2 ounce of hash (for people at work). We smoked up in there, ours and other people. Got very stoned, walked home.

December 3 Friday

Math- Paul, Chris [Todd] and I talked about blowing out computers. Gym(spare)- went to the shops, Don got 200 dexs in a cigarette package. Pushed Ken in the snow on the way back. Got back to school before Paul and Ken and I was talking to Chris Todd at my locker. He said some guys in the can had a big piece of hash. Ken came in and threw snow at my locker. His finger was bleeding. Lunch- went to the City Hall with Sue [Bessy], Christine and Dave. nite- Don came here, sat in the reckroom. I took 5 dexs. Going to Lesley's one of us rode the bike while the other ran. Got to Lesley's, Judy, Dave, Ralph and Sandi were there. Dave said he had taken mesc. Soon Brenda and Alison Skelton came. We all played 'spin the bottle'. We were telling jokes (except Don, Lesley and sometimes Judy). Everything was funny. Just before Dave and Ralph left we went to the kitchen to have a piece of Lesley's birthday cake. Stayed till 12 then walked home.

Note written December 3, 1971 from Lesley to me

Hai Alluitious.

Did Don get you know what? I sure hope so because I want some. I don't blame him if he doesn't give me any because I am a bitch. This spastic typewriter did not type properly all through typing but now that typing is over it goes.

Bai Lesley Astle Hai! Judy!

December 4 Saturday

Don came over, sat in my room then in the reckroom. Don took 4 of my 1967 class pictures. We walked to Lesley's [in the later afternoon], near there Don and I threw snow in the lake (it's frozen). Got a drive to Fairview (Lesley, Don, Judy and I). It was crowded. I got new jeans. Went to the restaurant in Eaton's, after I got a belt. On the bus after were Gillian and Gail [West], they said it was the Beaconsfield bus. nite- Don, Lesley and Judy came over, sat in my room on the bed. Got out the Beatles records and dumped them on Don. Played 'Revolution 9' backwards. Don and Lesley stayed in the room (he-he), Judy and I went downstairs and phoned people (Rea). They left at 10:30.

December 5 Sunday

I walked to Lesley's, she was on the phone to Gillian in the livingroom, eating pretzels. We went downstairs and planned who would come to her New Year's Eve party. Judy came, then Don. He had "Smiley" stickers, put one on my smokes. Lesley and Don were trying to fix the record player. Lesley hookah fell and broke. Judy and I were playing with Lesley's feet. Judy felt sick ("George" is back). Walked home.

December 6 Monday

Lesley not here [J.R.]. Math- kid (ick) behind me bugging me ("want" a fight) [this was the same guy who called me a faggot at the Free School in May, 1971. He made Math class very unpleasant for me until he left the class, possibly in January 1972]. Lunch- went to the shops with Christine, got sparklers.
